In March we wrote a blog based on Hyundai’s new marketing pitch and promised to keep you posted. (If you don’t recall, the pitch was if you bought a new Hyundai and lost your job within the first 12 months of purchase, you were able to return the car at no charge.) Well, so far so good for Hyundai.
Despite selling 55,133 vehicles through the end of February, not a single owner has taken Hyundai up on its offer to buy back their vehicle. The assurance program has been a home run campaign; selling more cars and costing Hyundai nothing.
An online poll showed 85% of people (both owners and non-owners alike) feel the Hyundai Assurance program is a real selling point. Talk about boosting brand image and consumer confidence at the same time! That’s something Hyundai is sure to toot their horn over.
