We've seen it more than we care to admit: solid businesses destroyed by the unexpected. In the case of Good Thyme Catering in Washburn, Wisconsin, the bistro was completely destroyed by a devastating fire on Tuesday, March 18, 2008. In an overwhelming show of support, local community members rallied with a surprise "cookbook shower" for owner Renee Holman, donating more than 400 cookbooks. Despite the overwhelming feeling of losing a business and a home, the bistro owner is forging on. Hungry locals have already welcomed the triumphant return of sandwiches to local convenience and grocery stores, and a newly-purchased facility will be reopened asap. That's the fortitude and intrepid spirit we love about our clients, and we know Renee will come back stronger than ever. She has a passion and vision that just won't stop.
Do you have a passion, vision and solid niche that keeps you excited about your work and business? We'll help you expand upon it. Dash us an email at info@boostyourbottomline.com and share your challenge.

Do Not Panic... Do Not Lower Prices
With the economy in a down cycle, you’d think lower prices would be the driving force in the world of marketing. Not so. Jay Conrad Levinson, the Father of Guerrilla Marketing, says, “The amazing thing about marketing during tough times is that high prices help. Lower prices don’t help because people with high prices get to say, ‘During a rough economy the last thing you want to do is make mistakes with any money that you put out, and you can be assured by our price that you’re not going to make a mistake such as you would be if you went with a lower priced product or service.’”
That’s exactly why those in the craft beer industry seem to be thriving. Craft beer sales increased 12 percent nationally last year while sales of so-called mainstream beers are almost flat. Why? It seems to be part of a long-term trend in many products, where people are trading away from quantity and going up in perceived value.
Quality sells. We recommend you keep your prices high during these tough economic times. Stand behind your product, and deliver more than is expected. Not sure how to achieve your goals? Email info@boostyourbottomline.com today.

The Secret to Small Business Success: Outsource!
We just stumbled upon a book that will surely interest many small business owners who work from home. In the Home Office from Hell Cure, author Jeffrey A. Landers, a work-at-home business expert, shares his professional insight on home business success, stating that outsourcing and focusing on work that will generate revenue is the secret to growing a successful work-at-home business.
Amen.
It’s usually a leap for home-based biz owners who often try to do everything themselves. Most are entrepreneurial mavericks, they're used to multi-tasking, and most think it’s cost effective to do it all themselves -- sending out invoices, managing accounts, returning phone calls, handling vendors, checking e-mail, filing, and hundreds of other time-consuming jobs that are necessary.
Sure, small business owners can do it all, but those tasks take up huge amounts of time and typically drain energy and motivation. We tell our clients to live and breathe the 80/20 rule and focus 80% of their time on high-return activities – and that means outsourcing the rest to a virtual assistant.

Bank America Taps Into Upcoming Olympics in Beijing to Create BIG Buzz
We LOVE big buzz ideas and couldn’t help but notice how many companies are already tapping into the upcoming Olympics in Beijing to create buzz.
On April 7, 2008, Bank of America, the official bank sponsor of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team, launched America's Cheer™, a new grassroots campaign that provides an opportunity for all Americans to cheer on the nation's finest athletes as they prepare to compete at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Whether it's an energetic video or audio recording, heartfelt letter or inspiring photo, America's Cheer™ is inviting the entire country to express their support for Team USA™ through the act of cheering.
It just so happens that the launch of America's Cheer™ also coincides with the introduction of U.S. Olympic Team Banking, the nation's first bundled set of U.S. Olympic Team-themed banking products that directly support Team USA™. U.S. Olympic Team Banking includes Check Cards, checks and credit cards that enable customers to support America's Olympic athletes and hopefuls with every purchase, while earning special rewards.
We think this is a great way to support our athletes while creating goodwill and a big buzz. Use Bank of America as your launch pad to come up with your own big buzz. Not sure how? Email info@boostyourbottomline.com today and we’ll show you how.
